Privacy policy

This policy explains how we process your personal data when selling tickets to the Barber of the Year gala night, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Controller

The controller is Barber Battle s.r.o., Company ID 09047280, registered office Kapucínské náměstí 308/14, 602 00 Brno. Contact for data protection matters: info@barberoftheyear.cz.

2. Data we process

  • Your name, e-mail address, postal address (street and city) and, optionally, phone number entered when ordering.
  • Order data: selected seats, price, payment status, ticket codes and check-in time at the entrance.
  • Technical data: IP address and access logs used to secure the website and prevent abuse.

We do not process card details – payments are handled directly by Stripe.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Selling and delivering tickets, check-in and event communication – performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Accounting and tax obligations – legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Website security, fraud prevention and handling complaints – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Photos and video from the event for documentation and promotion – the Organiser’s legitimate interest. If you prefer not to be photographed close up, please tell the photographer or contact us at info@barberoftheyear.cz.

4. Recipients

  • Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) – payment processing.
  • Websupport s.r.o. – website and e-mail hosting.
  • The Organiser’s accountants and tax advisers, to the extent necessary.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

5. Retention

Order data and accounting records are kept for the period required by accounting and tax laws (usually 10 years). Contact details that are not part of accounting records, and technical logs, are deleted no later than 12 months after the event.

6. Cookies

The public website does not use analytics or marketing cookies. We use only strictly necessary cookies for logging in to the administration.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send requests to info@barberoftheyear.cz. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz) or the supervisory authority in your country.
